Do you have a passion for food and enjoy working alongside tamariki and whanau? We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team in a KidsCan Cook role.

We currently have three positions available at the following kindergartens:

Crawshaw Kindergarten – 47A Crawshaw Drive, Hamilton

Frankton Kindergarten – 181 Massey Street, Hamilton

Whitiora Kindergarten – 45 Abbotsford Street, Hamilton

In this rewarding role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals and snacks for tamariki, transforming KidsCan supplied ingredients into healthy, culturally mindful food that supports children’s wellbeing and development.

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday

9:00am – 1:00pm (4 hours per day)

20 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for tamariki
• Cater for allergies, cultural preferences and dietary requirements
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment
• Ensure food safety standards and regulations are consistently met
• Build positive relationships with tamariki, whānau and colleagues
• Demonstrate reliability, punctuality and have good time management
• Uphold a strong commitment to the safety and wellbeing of tamariki
