Te Rapa Early Education Centre - Infant Lead Teacher

Te Rapa Early Education Centre is seeking a permanent, full-time Lead Teacher to inspire and lead our beautiful baby room.

If you are a compassionate educator dedicated to delivering high-quality, intentional learning experiences for our youngest tamariki (4 months to 2 years), we want to hear from you!

This is a full-time position working 8 hour shifts 7.30am and 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, on a roster basis.

• Strong Leadership: The ability to lead our baby room team while working collaboratively within the wider centre
• Relationship-Driven Practice: Proven success in building warm, respectful relationships with tamariki, whānau, and colleagues
• Intentional Teaching: A deep knowledge of individual planning and curriculum design that enhances the wellbeing and growth of infants
• Effective Guidance: Strong experience implementing positive behaviour guidance and management strategies
• Professional Mindset: A positive attitude, an open mind, and solid experience with internal evaluation processes
• Excellent Communication: Exceptional skills in creating a welcoming, inclusive, and collaborative environment

• Build meaningful, trusting and respectful relationships with children and their families
• Develop, implement, and evaluate tailored care routines and individualised learning programmes
• Collaborate closely with teaching teams and families to achieve the best outcomes for our community of learners.
• Ensure rigorous documentation and individual plans are maintained to a high standard
