Teaching Assistants don’t need to be qualified in early childhood education, but you do need to be flexible, adaptable and have a sense of fun! You will be working alongside our qualified Kaiako and supporting the day-to-day learning and care of tamariki.
You will also be someone who:
- Has a genuine passion for working with tamariki
- Is caring, patient and enjoys working in a team
- Brings a positive attitude and is a team player
- Is reliable, motivated and willing to learn
Providing support across the centre, you may work in various rooms and across all age groups. You’ll work between 30-35 hours per week, Monday to Friday on rostered shifts between the hours of 7:30am and 5:30pm.
Opening early July 2026, Kay Road Early Education Centre will be a modern purpose-built centre, with five large individual rooms and thoughtfully designed outdoor playgrounds.
