About the role/s
As Head Teacher, you will play a key leadership role within the kindergarten, providing guidance, mentoring and coaching to your teaching team, while overseeing the day-to-day operational management of the kindergarten.
You will ensure the kindergarten operates smoothly by managing budgets, roll numbers and staffing while maintaining a strong focus on high quality teaching and learning. Working alongside your team, you will support curriculum development, assessment and planning, while also leading professional growth cycles and ongoing staff development.
You will bring:
- A Bachelor of Teaching Early Childhood Education (minimum qualification)
- Registration and Practising Certificate issued by Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand
- A current First Aid Certificate
- Proven leadership capability, including mentoring and supporting teaching teams
- Experience managing a kindergarten or centre budget
- The ability to build authentic, respectful relationships with staff, tamariki and whānau

Position details
These are full-time positions (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday) located at either Grasslands Kindergarten or Melville Kindergarten.
