The Opportunity

Grasslands Kindergarten located in the heart of Dinsdale, is a vital part of the local community and we’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Teacher to join our team.

In this full time role, you will collaborate with other Teachers to develop and implement an engaging environment that supports tamariki’s social, emotional and physical development. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm (8 hours per day).

About You

You are a passionate and dedicated Kaiako who brings:

  • Resilience and a positive attitude
  • A great sense of humour
  • Knowledge of Te Reo Maori, tikanga Māori and Māori world views
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A flexible, open minded and creative approach to teaching

You will also have

  • A Bachelor of Teaching Early Childhood Education (minimum qualification)
  • A current Practicing Registration issued by Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand
  • A current First Aid Certificate
