Grasslands Kindergarten - Head Teacher


We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Head Teacher to lead our team at Grasslands Kindergarten.

Mõ te tùranga | About the Role

This role is responsible for the operational management and leadership of the kindergarten, ensuring effective roll and staffing management. You will lead a collaborative and supportive teaching team, nurture strong relationships with whaanau and the community and ensure high quality outcomes through robust planning, assessment and internal evaluation.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm (40 hours per week).

  • Provide effective leadership and operational management to support organisational success
  • Communicate confidently and respectfully, building strong relationships across all areas of the role
  • Work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Lead and support a team-based approach to teaching and learning
  • Promote and support tamariki social and emotional competence

Hei angitù  koe i tènei tùranga, me |  To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Bachelor of Teaching Early Childhood Education (minimum qualification)
  • A current Practising Certificate issued by Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand
  • A current First Aid Certificate

You will also have a excellent level of knowledge and practice of Te Whãriki and current learning and teaching theories.
