Fairfield Early Education Centre - Lead Teacher (Baby Room)


Fairfield Early Education Centre is seeking a qualified and passionate Lead Teacher to join our baby room, working with children up to 2 years of age. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative three teacher team that values a positive and supportive working environment.

As Lead Teacher you will play a pivotal role in maintaining high teaching standards while guiding and supporting a small, dedicated team. You will build strong, meaningful relationships with tamariki, whānau and colleagues and contribute to centre initiatives that foster a nurturing and engaging learning environment.

About the Role

We are looking for a Lead Teacher who:

  • Demonstrates calm, patient and respectful teaching practices
  • Builds strong, reciprocal relationships with tamariki and whānau
  • Has excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Maintains a high standard of professionalism
  • Is confident in leading and supporting a team

This is a full time, permanent position (8 hours per day, Monday to Friday) worked on a roster between 7:30am – 5:30pm.

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum Level 7 Bachelor of Teaching (ECE) qualification
  • Current registration with the New Zealand Teaching Council
  • A current First Aid Certificate
