Cumberland Early Education Centre is a modern purpose-built centre located in Borman Road, Hamilton North. With five spacious rooms and expansive indoor/outdoor areas, we provide a fun environment for children to learn and grow.
We are looking for a Fixed-Term Centre Support Teacher to join our dedicated and hardworking team. In this role, you will provide teaching support across the Centre, working alongside different teams, so flexibility and enthusiasm are essential!
If you have:
- A passion for creating engaging learning environments that meets the interests and needs of all tamariki.
- A good knowledge of Te Reo Maori, tikanga Māori and Māori world views.
- The ability to develop programmes that embrace diverse cultural perspectives.
- Competency with written documentation.
- A team-focused approach to teaching practices, fostering positive learning outcomes for children.
- Experience in supporting children’s social and emotional learning.

Applicants must have:
- A Bachelor of Teaching (ECE) Level 7 or higher
- A current First Aid certificate
- Certification with the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand.
This is a fixed term, full time position (40 hours per week) from April 2025 to December 2025. You will be work Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts between 7.30am and 5.30pm.
